To lose a child is the worst thing a Mother can ever experience.
To lose a child to violence is something beyond comprehension.
Most of us do not have to experience such a loss but when
sweet little Aaren was murdered by her own father on June 26,
2000 my friend, Jen, had to go through this horrible ordeal.

Many attempts had been made by Jen to get her two lovely daughters  away from their father but to no avail. His neighbors had reported suspicious incidents but all seemed to fall on deaf ears by the authorities in the county where the girls and their father resided.

Why does it always take a death to get anything taken care of
or even noticed? This kind of thing happens every day in
our country and when we hear about it we say something like,
" How horrible. I am glad this did not happen to me or someone that I know. " Well, this happened to someone I know and love and hopefully something good can come from this most insane crime. Maybe some of us will begin to take action in whatever
 way we can to help prevent the abuse and deaths of innocent  children like beautiful little Aaren.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back,
The sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall softly upon your fields,
And until we meet again.
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

My candle burns at both ends;
      It will not last the night;
      But, ah, my foes, and, oh, my friends
      It gives a lovely light!

We shall find peace. We shall hear angels,
we shall see the sky sparkling with diamonds.
