Danielle Christine Bonfield

June 3, 1985 - March 19, 1998

Danielle was an angel on earth and now is an angel in Heaven. Danielle was so very special. She was a Christian girl who went to church and Catechism. This made her very loving towards others. She always tried to be caring and understanding, making her so easy to talk to.

Dani was an animal lover. Her dog is named Tugger and he is a Lab and White Eskimo mixed. She use to give him baths and dry him with a blow dryer. It was always so funny watching her because she acted like he was a Barbie doll.

The whole room lit up when Dani walked into it. She had a glowing, bubbly personality. She was very popular because she was a true friend. She couldn’t hold a grudge for more than a few hours. She put the wants and needs of others in front of her own. Dani was the type to take the shirt off of her back, to give to someone else who needed it more than she did. She was an energetic, radiant 12 year old little girl with a heart of gold.

She was an honor student at Watson Junior High. She loved being involved in sports, playing, softball, basketball, and soccer. She excelled in soccer and won a 1st place trophy for her efforts. She played piano and the alto sax. I remember how she loved playing in the school band and singing in the school choir.

She attended Young Americans, and accomplishment of which she took much pride in.

Danielle Christine Bonfield was a miracle baby. After trying for 3 1/2 years the good Lord gave her to us and Alan Yerkey took that precious gift away. Danielle loved life and was loved and dearly missed by many. She had a heart of Gold and brought joy to the hearts of those she knew. My daughter was a loving Christian child who never hurt anyone and who could have made a great difference in this world. But, we will never know because of Alan Yerkey. My loving little girl was brutally raped and murdered by this sadistic evil animal. He left her body in the mountains of Colorado in deep snow for 2 days. My sweet little princess did not deserve to die this way.

Alan Yerkey will spend 148 years in prison with no possibility of parole. My baby is gone forever.......................................
