Marie Dunn - ADF Declines to take the Case:
On April 11, 2001, I wrote this email in reply to Thomas Stack, an attorney
with the Alliance Defense Fund, a fundamentalist peace and justice legal
coalition that after reviewing it, decided to decline our case. I also and
copied it to 2 local media people and one person from CBS 48 Hours that
contacted me last year, three priests (2 Greek Orthodox, one Roman), the
local psychologist specializing in sexual addiction that gave me a referral
for the therapist for the girls in 1996, a group of attorneys I have already
consulted with, as well as my brother, my sweetheart, and Dr. Judith
Reisman of CPS (Child Protective Services) Watch (God Bless You, Dr R!).
I put everybody in the "To" column because I see us all as responsible to
effect societal change. I didn't ask to have my life interrupted, either
but we are all either responsive or culpable for the violence and depravity
in our society that runs rampant and unchallenged in our day. It's either
one or the other - cop outs will not absolve any of us. God knows I am
doing my part to challenge the insanity! James 2:14 - 17 makes it plain
what we are to do. Hearing "Be warmed and filled" and then being left in
the cold left me with a bad taste. I am certain we as a faith community can
