Our lives were changed forever

One night 2 years ago

His emerald eyes closed one last time

Bringing teardrops to our soul.

We’ll never find the happiness

We once shared with our son

Instead we share an emptiness

That can never be undone.

Words can’t describe just how we feel

And how we miss him so

How much it hurts to see other boys

When we had to let ours go.

Baby, we’re so sorry

We have not found justice yet

But we swear to you we won’t give up

And we won’t let them forget.
