Mary Lucille Romero

This tribute is to my mother, Mary Lucille Romero who passed away 38 years ago. On October 29, 1962 she was taken by the hands of my father. She was only 30 years old and left behind 6 small children. We were so small that she is buried in a cemetery where her plot cannot even be found.

My memories of her are few...but precious. I remember she was a very clean and neat lady. She had beautiful red hair and striking Hazel eyes. I remember how she loved Elvis Presley and her favorite song was "Love Me Tender". I remember how excited she was when she had the opportunity to see President John F. Kennedy. She took many pictures.

How sad it is for a woman who brought us into this life to be nearly forgotten and not found.

Mother, I just want to say from me and my brothers and sister, you are dearly missed. We know we had great love for you because as the papers said, "The children could not believe."
